Exfree Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-11

This policy explains what information the No Contact: Exfree app ("the app") for iPhone collects, why, and what choices you have. The app is published by Endurance Apptitude ("we", "us").

The short version

  • What you write stays on your device. Your last-contact date, your reasons, your Unsent notes, your mood check-ins and your streak history are stored only on your iPhone. We never receive them.
  • We collect anonymous usage statistics (Google Firebase Analytics) to understand which features are used. These statistics never include what you write, your mood or any name.
  • We process subscription purchases through RevenueCat, using an anonymous identifier, to know whether you have Premium.
  • We have no accounts, no ads, and no tracking across other companies' apps or websites. We do not sell your data.

1. Information that stays on your device

  • Data is kept in a file in the app's private storage, protected by iOS data protection while your iPhone is locked. The app has no server of its own and does not use iCloud sync.
  • Face ID lock uses Apple's Local Authentication. We never receive your face data or passcode; iOS only tells the app whether you were verified.
  • Start over in Settings deletes all of this data. Deleting the app deletes it too (unless it is included in your own iCloud/device backup, which Apple manages).

2. Information collected automatically

Usage analytics — Google Firebase Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics, a service provided by Google, to count how the app is used. It collects:

  • App events we define, such as: app opened, onboarding step completed, paywall shown/closed/purchase completed/restored, urge button tapped, urge resisted, milestone reached, check-in saved, Unsent note saved, notification opened. Some events include simple numbers, such as how many days your streak lasted, which milestone you reached or how many notes you have. Events never include the text of your notes or reasons, your mood, dates of contact or anyone's name.
  • Events Firebase records on its own, such as first open, sessions, app updates and in-app purchase events.
  • An app instance identifier: a random ID that Firebase creates for this installation. It is not your name, email or Apple ID, and it resets if you reinstall the app.
  • Basic device information: device model, iOS version, app version, language, and approximate country/region derived from your IP address.

We do not enable advertising features of Firebase and we do not link analytics to other apps or websites.

Subscriptions — RevenueCat

Premium subscriptions and purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to check and manage your Premium status. RevenueCat receives:

  • An anonymous app user ID generated by RevenueCat for this installation (we do not use accounts, so it is not linked to your name or email).
  • Purchase information from the App Store: which product you bought, price and currency, transaction dates, trial and renewal/cancellation status, and the App Store transaction data needed to verify the purchase.
  • Basic device and app information: app version, iOS version, country/store and language, used to show the right prices and offers.

We never receive your payment card details; payments are processed by Apple.

What we do not collect

  • No crash-reporting SDK (such as Crashlytics) is included in the app.
  • No contacts, photos, location (GPS), health data, microphone or camera.
  • No email address, phone number or account information.

The app does not request permission to track you (App Tracking Transparency) and shows no ads.

3. How we use the information

  • To provide Premium features and restore your purchases.
  • To understand which features help and improve the app (aggregate statistics).
  • We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it.
