Somama Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-11

This policy explains what information the Somama app and its successor, Neva (together "the app"), collect, why, and what choices you have. The app is published by Endurance Apptitude ("we", "us"). It covers the version currently on the App Store (a baby tracker) and the new version, called Neva (a period tracker).

The short version

  • What you log stays on your iPhone. Baby entries (version 1.x) and cycle, symptom and note entries (Neva) are stored only on your device. We have no accounts and no server that receives them.
  • We do not sell your data.
  • Version 1.x shows ads and uses analytics and crash reporting, which involve third-party SDKs that can process device identifiers (see section 3).
  • Neva uses anonymous analytics only: app events that never contain what you log (see section 4).
  • Purchases are processed by Apple; we use RevenueCat to know whether you have Premium.

  • The app has no accounts and no sign-in.
  • Export (CSV or JSON) is generated on your device. You choose where to share the file; we never see it.
  • Face ID / passcode lock (Neva, optional) uses Apple's Local Authentication. Your biometric data stays inside iOS and is never available to us.
  • Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone.
  • Deleting the app deletes this data.

Cycle and baby entries are sensitive. We do not use them for advertising or marketing, we do not share them, and Neva's analytics never include them.

2. Purchases (RevenueCat and Apple)

Purchases are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to check whether you have an active Premium subscription or purchase. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID, purchase receipts and the device's country. We never see your name, email or payment details.

3. Somama 1.x: advertising, analytics and content

Version 1.x of the app includes these third-party services:

  • Google AdMob (advertising). AdMob may use the advertising identifier of your device and other device information to show and measure ads. You can limit this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and Apple Advertising.
  • Firebase (Google Analytics, Crashlytics and Performance Monitoring) collects app usage events, crash reports, performance data, device and OS information and an app-instance identifier. None of it includes the entries you log about your baby.
  • Meta (Facebook) SDK, included for app-install measurement. The app has no Facebook login and no Facebook account is used.
  • Supabase hosts the articles shown in the app's blog. The app downloads articles; it does not upload your data.

These services have their own privacy policies. We do not sell your data.

4. Neva: analytics (Google Firebase Analytics)

Neva uses Firebase Analytics to learn how the app is used and improve it. It collects app events such as "onboarding completed", "paywall shown", "data exported" or "widget tapped", plus device and OS information, country and an app-instance identifier. It does not receive your period dates, symptoms, moods, notes or any other cycle data. Neva does not show ads and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

5. Children

Somama 1.x is meant for parents and caregivers, not for children. Neva is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

6. Medical disclaimer

The app is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Cycle predictions are estimates and must not be used for contraception or to diagnose any condition. Talk to a health professional about your health or your baby's health.

7. Your choices

  • Turn notifications, the app lock and widgets on or off in the app's Settings or in iOS Settings.
  • Limit ad tracking in iOS Settings (version 1.x).
  • Delete your data by deleting the app.
  • Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings.

If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
